Fab night at the EIS as the Sheffield Sharks take on the Junior Sheffield Sharks

There was a great end to the year (ok, I know the Sharks are away in London on 30th Dec) at the EIS last night as the Sheffield Sharks took on the Junior Sheffield Sharks.

After 5 quarters the score was tied at 127 apiece and everyone had enjoyed not only the match but a shooting competition and a dunk competition.

Last home game of 2016 for Sheffield Sharks see them beat Cheshire Phoenix

In a roller coaster 2016 which saw them play the under-dog to win the BBL play-off final in May and revamp the team several times before and since, the Sheffield Sharks rounded off 2016 in fine style as they ran out 82-79 winners in a buzzer-beater game against Cheshire Phoenix at the EIS, Sheffield.

In an end-to-end contest, Sharks biggest lead of game was 10 points at 77-67.  The game then swung as Cheshire posted 12 without reply to lead 79-77.  Sharks ended 5-0, crucially with a late 3-pointer from Colin Sing to win 82-79.

Sheffield Sharks - back with a bang against Plymouth Raiders

Sheffield Sharks were back at the EIS tonight - taking on a Plymouth raiders side who had beaten them 95-66 here less than 8 weeks ago in the 4th game of the season.

A much changed and very rejuvenated Sharks side under assistant coach Ariel Parrucci came straight out of the blocks and were always in front of Plymouth, winning 87-78 in the end.

Colin Sing was a tough physical presence in front of the raiders, right from the start and completed a fabulous 360 layup near the end of the game.
