Dan Walker Charity Golf Day 2018

After some early mizzle yesterday morning, Hallamshire Golf Club in Sheffield again showed its colurs in glorious light for the 5th annual Dan Walker Charity Golf Day 2018.  Often known as the Walker Cup (not that one!), it attracts a wide range of celebrities and sports people to raise money for the Sheffield Childrens Hospital.  Early figures are somewhere about £40,000 which is a fantastic sum to help out a wonderful institution.

The Walker Cup (not that one)

Today saw the third annual Walker Cup (not that one) as TV presenter, patron of Sheffield Children's Hospital and all round Mr Nice Guy, Dan Walker, hosted a big charity golf day at Hallamshire Golf Club in Sheffield.

Stars of sport and screen turned up to support the day which raised over £60,000 in aid of the work of the Children's Hospital.
