Sheffield Sharks narrowly miss out to Surrey in the first game of the 2017-18 season

A sometome bruising 8-a-side encounter at the EIS on Friday night left Sheffield Sharks 78-81 down to Surrey Scorchers in the opening game of the season.  Tieing at 42 a piece at halftime, Surrey pulled away by 10 in the third quarter and the Sharks pulled it back but too little too late...

MVP Chris Alexander shooting a free throw from a Technical.  He hit some outrageous three point scores from serious distance on his way to 22 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. Ironically, in fighting for points at the end of the game, he himself suffered two technicals to sit out the end of the contest.
