Sheffield's newly crowned IBF Welterweight Champion of the world, Kell Brook, is in hospital in Tenerife after being stabbed in the leg while on holiday.
The boxer from Sheffield is in a stable condition according to his promoter Eddie Hearn. A spokeswoman for Spain's Guardia Civil said the 28-year-old
was stabbed in the left leg at Golf del Sur in San Miguel de Abona and
"lost a lot of blood".
Fans will be wishing Kell a speedy recovery and hoping that this doesn't affect plans for his next fight - currently scheduled for 6th December at the MotorPoint Arena, Sheffield.
