The British Athletics Grand Prix returns to the NIA in Birmingham on
Saturday 16th February 2013 for what is widely regarded as the world’s
best indoor athletics event.
Newly-crowned Olympic gold medallists Jessica Ennis and Mo Farah, as
well as Olympic bronze medallist Robbie Grabarz, were in fine form at
the NIA last year. Grabarz leapt to a convincing victory in the high
jump with 2.32m, while Farah smashed the British and European indoor two
mile records with a time of 8:08.07. Ennis saw off competition from
world silver medallist Danielle Carruthers to win the 60m hurdles.
Looking forward to a good session tomorrow, especially as there will be live TV (reminder to self - kepp the bald patch out of the way). Hoping to catch Mo Farah in action in the 3000m in the last event of the day.
Should have some photographs posted to: Andy Chubb Photography by Monday 18th Feb 2013.
