Wiggins returns to track for Team England

Team England in conjunction with British Cycling has today confirmed that Sir Bradley Wiggins will join the track squad for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
 
Team England Chef de Mission Jan Paterson MBE said: " We are delighted that Sir Bradley will be returning to the track for Team England in Glasgow. It's hugely exciting for the Team, the sport and spectators that they'll be able to see one of our finest athletes back in the Velodrome for the first time in a number of years."

Team England launch their kit for the Commonwealth Games

Team England were at the Trafford Centre in Manchester to launch their new kit with supplier Kukri.

 Jan Paterson, Chef de Mission, Team England at the Kit Release for Team England, who said that athletes have been “at the heart of the design” of the Team England kit for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

 Kukri, a firm local to the North West, are enjoying their kit deal with Team England.  The red, white and maroon range will be worn by the 600-plus athletes and staff who will represent England in the Scottish City from July 23 – August 3.

 The Kukri design team celebrate at the end of the show with Sir Steve Redgrave and the athletes and models who walked the cat walk.

 Kukri have teamed up with swimwear brand Arena to provide Team England's Swimming and Diving kit.

 Louise Wood, 100m hurdler was at the event to see the kit first hand.  She has been training in Australia this year and is hoping for a good outdoors season leading up to Glasgow.

Sir Steve Redgrave was on hand to lend his extensive experience of major games to the event.  (Nice guy, we chatted about basketball until he was called away).
