Just finished a lovely wedding at Tankersley Manor and hope to complete processing the pictures in a couple of days, which will leave a bit of time for a breather before the start of the Olympic Diving Trials at Ponds Forge.
I had my eye on a Nikon R1 micro flash unit but saved my money in the end and instead bought a used SB-20 flash unit. It must be all of 25 years old but still pops like a good one. Even more impressive is the fact that you can pick up a Yongnuo battery pack for it on ebay for less than £20! You can never have too many flashguns - this one will do quite nicely on manual mode all the time with a trigger to trip it.

Bet Fred 2012 World Snooker Championships
Lauren Higgins the daughter of the late, great and much missed Alex Higgins, was at the Crucible in Sheffield for the first semi-final of the Bet Fred 2012 World Snooker Championships. The last time that she was there in the public eye was
in 1982 when Alex, overcome with emotion after winning his
second world title, hoisted her and the trophy aloft as tears ran down
his face.
Also there was Shaun Murphy, World Champion in 2005, supporting his friend Ali Carter from the stands. It was nice to see Stephen Hendry enjoying himself in the commentary box, the smiles and the banter must be great for him.
